We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Sr Sales Analyst. The ideal candidate will have experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry and with a variety of retail data sources (i.e. Circana scan, Household Panel (Numerator), Luminate, or
84.51), Food Service data sources (i.e. Circana/NPD Supply Track) and/or marketing mix measurements. The candidate will have strong analytical skills, deep curiosity for the customer/market, and an ability to provide actionable insights aimed at unlocking sales and marketing growth opportunities. 

Essential Job Functions:


  • Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement in driving business demand.
  • Develop sales reports for the sales team to use in internal strategy discussions.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance across retail and foodservice channels, identifying areas for improvement and making recommendations for action.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, supply chain and finance to develop and implement sales strategies.
  • Conduct research on competitor activity and market trends to provide insights and recommendations for the sales team.
  • Identify new business opportunities by analyzing market data, customer insights and competitive and product trends.
  • Maintain sales data sources by working with external partners (e.g., Circana), internal business partners (e.g., IT), and internal tools (e.g., Tableau).

Basic Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in sales or consumer marketing analysis and reporting within the CPG/Food Manufacturing industry.
  • Advanced proficiency and demonstrated ability to create visual tools/reporting in Microsoft Excel and/or other data visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex data sets and drive analytics-based insights that inform decision making for the Sales Organization, and improve performance to drive revenue and retention goals.
  • Superior communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex data to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Significant experience working with sales, shipment, and syndicated data sources, i.e. Circana and/or retailer specific data sources (84.51 or Luminate).
  • Experience in acting as the primary contact with external sales, shipment, and syndicated data providers, ensuring data sources/deliverables are accurate and reflect business needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A strong eye for detail and commitment to data quality and accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Ability to analyze vast amounts of sales data and synthesize insights and findings into intelligence that can be acted upon by the business, with the goal of optimizing retail, foodservice, and/or marketing strategy.
  • Help to identify the right business and sales metrics to be analyzed and tracked for retail, foodservice, and marketing demand functions
  • Experience with high growth and scaling organizations with multiple products.
  • Strong and proactive business partnership capability, including championing relationships with Sales, Marketing, & Customer Teams.
  • Experience working in or supporting Retail and Food Service Sales functions
  • Experience working in or supporting Marketing functions.
  • Experience in Marketing Analytics, including tracking, reporting, and analyzing the performance of marketing activities, ad-hoc analytic requests, and marketing mix modeling.
