This position will be responsible for ensuring that equipment operating under CloudTrucks Operating authority is safe to operate over the road and is in full compliance with inspection criteria for CloudTrucks and the DOT. This position is also responsible for the cost effective maintenance of any equipment in which CloudTrucks has a financial interest. 
This person should have a minimum of 1-3 years work experience in a Class 8 equipment maintenance and/or direct experience in DOT equipment requirements as defined by the FMCSA. Proven track record of managing a strategic maintenance and compliance program for commercial equipment.

This role will require you to come in 3x a week in our Dallas, TX office.


Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate equipment repairs related to Accident, Cargo Claim and incident Reports

  • Manage all Maintenance for CloudTrucks equipment

  • Manage state DOT documentation related to OOS violations

  • Validation of proper vendors being utilized for all CT required DOT inspections 

  • Truck/Trailer registration & confirmations (In conjunction with Trailer Team)

  • Coordinate and manage 3/6/12 month DOT Maintenance inspections

  • Create and manage DVIR reports process for all contractors

  • Develop expanded partner Vendor network for Truck & Trailer repairs 

  • Develop chargeback criteria for non covered trailer repairs

  • Manage PD insurance COI’s for Tractors and trailers

  • Maintain equipment permit and in-truck documentation

Specific Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:



  • Ability to monitor, review and correct maintenance reports for accuracy

  • General experience with Excel, google worksheets and online access reports  

  • Experience working in a team environment but able to work independently 

  • Verbal communications skills conducive to working with vendors and truck drivers. 

  • Ability to manage costs/expenses in a frugal and effective manner

  • Skills required to develop Cost per mile maintenance budgeting by maintenance categories

  • Capable of identifying inaccuracies and exceptions that need to be resolved in processes

  • Open to feedback and willingness to learn from Safety Teams experience. 

  • Preferred experience with Slack, Google business tools, Zendesk and Salesforce 

  • Experience working with Maintenance Vendors, insurance companies & regulatory agencies 

  • Experience in the dynamics and aspirations commonly present in a technology organization

  • Ability and openness to work with and communicate with a very culturally diverse workforce
