We provide essential messaging, including billing information, appointment notifications, financial aid details, and more.

Cedar is seeking a Software Engineer II to join our Communications Platform squad. In this role, you will collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and designers to enhance our patient engagement platform. You will play a crucial part in building tools that ensure accurate, timely, and informative communications to improve patient experiences and reduce operational costs for providers. Responsibilities:


  • Develop and Maintain Scalable Solutions: Build, test, and maintain scalable code across the stack to ensure robust and efficient patient communications.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with product, design, and integration partners to deliver new features and enhancements that improve patient engagement and satisfaction.
  • Enhance Communication Reliability: Create tools and infrastructure that improve the reliability and clarity of patient communications, reducing support cases and provider call volumes.
  • Optimize Communication Strategies: Implement personalized communication strategies based on patient circumstances, ensuring communications are clear, relevant, and timely.
  • Monitor and Resolve Issues: Develop robust monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve communication gaps, failures, and inaccuracies.

Required Skills & Experience:


  • Technical Expertise: 2+ years of professional software development experience with experience in at least one major coding language
  • Strong computer science fundamentals: a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or similar experience
  • Team Player: Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.

Compensation Range and Benefits


  • Salary/Hourly Rate Range*: $145,000 - $161,625
  • This role is equity eligible
  • This role offers a competitive benefits and wellness package
