ABOUT THE ROLE
Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a motivated Solutions Engineer (SE) to support our sales team aligned to small and medium businesses. We are a fast-growing entrepreneurial team working at the convergence of technology and national security. The work will be dynamic and wide-ranging within the Growth team supporting the rapid scaling of our Game Warden platform and future product offerings.We are growing quickly and are looking for a Solutions Engineer to assist in helping to secure future business and partnership initiatives.
The SE will represent 2F as a technical SME during customer and market-facing engagements. This is a cross-functional role that will work with commercial sales, marketing, customer success, product, business development, and government engagement teams.
Note: This position requires U.S. citizenship.
What You’ll Do
- Our Solutions Engineer will assist in technical engagements with CEOs, CTOs, Engineering Directors, and other key stakeholders, both internally and externally, inspiring confidence in our team and products throughout the entire customer journey.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to drive the adoption of our platform across a broad range of independent software vendors
- Assist with the technical aspects of direct engagements between customers and the platform
- Maintain close alignment with Senior Solutions Engineers to efficiently qualify prospects
- Participate in Go-To-Market efforts, including introduction calls, technical sales presentations, RFP/RFI responses, product demonstrations, architecture design discussions, and technical workshops
- Develop technical knowledge of Second Front products and represent 2F internally and externally as a growing technical expert
- Support the development and review of marketing content and technical documentation
- Assist in evaluating cloud application architectures for compatibility with the Game Warden hosting platform with consideration for federal compliance requirements
- Potential travel to industry conferences and events as needed
Skills You’ll Bring to Our Team
- A self-starter who can work well independently and as part of a team
- Some experience in a technical and client-facing role, ideally within the tech industry
- Basic knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure with a willingness to become certified
- Some knowledge, hands-on experience or coursework in software development, networking, or DevOps
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to travel as needed
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Ability to communicate effectively at various levels of the organization
- Some knowledge or certifications relating to cybersecurity is a plus
- Basic understanding of some/all of our tech stack: AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, Istio, Git, Gitlab, Terraform, Relational DBs
- Interest or experience working in a startup environment
- Ability to adopt, create, and iterate on changing procedures in near-real time
- Knowledge of DevSecOps tools and practices is a plus
$120,000 - $140,000 a yearThe annual base salary for this role ranges from $120,000 to $140,000. Perks & BenefitsThis role is full time.
