At Nautilus, we have a big and important mission: improve the health of millions by unleashing the potential of the proteome to accelerate drug development and enable a new world of precision and personalized medicine. We are developing a single-molecule protein analysis platform of unprecedented sensitivity, scale, and ease of use that we believe will democratize access to the proteome – one of the most dynamic and valuable sources of biological insight. To accomplish this, we are pursuing deep, hard science with an entrepreneurial mindset and creating a world-class team of builders, innovators, and dreamers across a wide range of disciplines.
Do you love tinkering with the tools of molecular biology? Is protocol improvement an unshakable habit? We are looking for an outstanding scientist who is passionate about building and commercializing the assays that drive the proteome platform at Nautilus. The Assay Development group plays a central role at Nautilus, engaging at the interface of science, engineering, and operations, to deliver game-changing proteomics technologies. We are looking for a flexible and collaborative self-starter with extensive experience designing, executing, analyzing & interpreting complex, multi-factorial experiments.
Strong troubleshooting skills, critical thinking, and attention to detail are essential. The right candidate will enthusiastically leverage their experience, curiosity and creativity to collaborate & innovate in areas of assay development, protocol optimization, and product development.Responsibilities
Design and develop robust assays and reagents with simple elegant workflows.
Execute complex, information-rich experiments that provide decisive development direction.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify failure modes and improve assay performance.
Drive root cause and permanent corrective actions to resolve issues as they arise.
