This role is based out of our exciting Mexico City Office. Mexico City is our first office outside of the US.
With a large presence in New York City, Atlanta, GA, as well as innovation hubs & remote talent across the U.S. BetterCloud is backed, among others, by some of the best technology investors Vista Equity Partners, Warburg Pincus, Bain Capital, and Accel.As a BetterCloud Jr. Security Engineer, you will be helping solve BetterCloud’s security challenges. You will be working with our security vendors, with our cloud technologies, and your own coding skills to resolve security tasks.
About You:
- Minimum 1-2 years in a cloud platform environment (Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, etc.)
- Minimum 1-2 years in security (application security, network defense, offensive security, security tooling, etc.)
- Proficiency with a scripting or programming language
- Proficiency with Java a plus
- English is the business language of BetterCloud. Candidates are required to have a Toefl proficiency or equivalent
- Willingness to work out of our Mexico City Office at least 3 days per week
What You’ll Do
- You will be our first Jr. Security Engineer in Mexico City, and with our help, you’ll be helping set the appropriate security culture with your teammates.
- Work with established security vendors to make improvements on or repair existing tooling
- Work with IT to resolve security-related tickets
- Work with Google Cloud Platform to enhance security visibility/alerting/controls
- Perform audits on laptop/cloud inventory to ensure devices and attributes are compliant with security standards
