The role
We’re seeking a Founding Engineer (back-end or full-stack) eager to build and launch new products. As a fast-paced, early stage startup, we are looking for a team member who thrives in ambiguous environments; will enthusiastically learn, grow, and debate with others; and is hungry to tackle hard problems with a world-class team.
Requirements
- Proven ability to build and ship real-world software
- 4+ years of building full-stack Web Apps with TypeScript (e.g. Nextjs, SvelteKit, Prisma ORM)
- 6+ years software development experience
- Located in the New York City metro area, or willing to relocate
- Willing to make mistakes and learn from them
Responsibilities
- Help decide our core architecture and set the tone for engineering excellence
- Develop domain expertise and play a key role in designing our data model and APIs
- Iterate quickly while thinking critically about tech debt - choosing when to cut corners and when to sacrifice speed for quality
- Learn new tools and build new features across the stack.
Compensation
- Title: Founding Software Engineer
- Salary: $150-200k
- Equity: 0.5% - 1.0%+
