You will be based in Mexico, but you will support Tala’s Global Legal Team.
You will empower the legal team with optimized workflows, tools and strategic initiatives. Project management skills, the ability to coordinate among multiple cross-functional stakeholders and work across time zones is critical. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting with corporate documentation, developing efficient workflow processes, managing subsidiaries, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the legal department.
What You’ll do?
- Assist with non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) and other contract templates.
- Develop and maintain a forms library to streamline the document drafting process; develop playbooks and policies.
- Track and analyze outside counsel spend to optimize budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Scale the use of contract management tools to improve departmental efficiency; triage new contract review requests from business departments and assign to legal team for review.
- Assist with the preparation, review, and maintenance of corporate documents and records.
- Manage and support our subsidiaries, ensuring compliance with local and international legal requirements.
- Assist with stock option administration.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and work across geographic time zones.
- Provide support for corporate transactions, including managing data rooms.
- Maintain an organized system for tracking and storing legal documents and versioning of policies.
What You’ll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in legal operations, corporate governance, or project management.
- Proficiency in legal document management systems and Google suite.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously across multiple geographies and time zones.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Desirable familiarity with Carta is a plus
