Your Mission:
As the Director of Meetings + Events, you will be responsible for the internal architecture of Lulafit’s Meetings + Events standards and processes across the country. Your job is to drive operational excellence and consistency, and equip our Host team members to deliver superior meeting and event services. You will be instrumental in enhancing and activating a variety of spaces, employing innovative demand generation strategies, and providing white-glove services designed to create unforgettable experiences.

As a result of your time in this role, you will have led the creation of exceptional meeting and event services through innovative processes that redefine industry standards. The service standards you created from conception to delivery have provided Lulafit with a repeatable process and product that was integral in the company’s growth. The playbooks you produced were used in hundreds of office buildings around the country, bringing peak performance to the masses and effectively improving the way thousands of people interact with their workplace.
What You're Responsible For
- Scalable Meetings + Events Operations: Design innovative meeting standards tailored to diverse spaces and markets, fostering creativity, performance, and engagement. Define consumer journey, systematize catering processes and develop comprehensive brand standards to create professional and welcoming spaces.
- Host Team Standards and Training: Mentor on-site host teams to ensure quality and consistency through setting site-specific KPIs and conducting site visits to identify areas for continued improvement. Collaborate with People team to build training programs on meeting and event SOPs.
- Revenue Generation and Demand Strategies: Own demand and revenue generation strategies across diverse meeting and event spaces throughout the country. Develop playbooks for upselling of private event services, such as catering, entertainment and vendor coordination. Collaborate with the Marketing department to drive customer acquisition and repeat bookings.
- Drive innovation: Keep programming fresh across our service offerings, operational models, and staffing, based on consumer needs. Innovate new services based on needs and industry trends for executing both tenant and open-to-the-public meetings and events. Actively track metrics and solicit feedback for continuous improvement.
- Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with Amenity Design Consulting team to inform optimal design of lulafit amenity spaces. Collaborate with the Product team to inform optimal development of the lulameet platform. Partner with the People and Culture team to develop internal training.
Who You Are: Baseline Requirements
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field plus a minimum of 7-10 years of experience in conference and/or event planning and management, preferably on a national or multi-location scale.
- You have a proven track record of designing and implementing innovative meeting standards and operational models at scale.
- You are proficient with both the Google suite (what lulafit uses) and Microsoft Office (what our clients use). Don’t worry, you don’t need to be great at PowerPoint nor super savvy with Excel
- .You have prior experience in using event management software and platforms, such as Triple Seat.
- You are proficient in using conferencing AV/IT systems, such as Crestron
Who You Are: Preferred Skills + Experience
- Your experience has touched the real estate sector. Examples of this include: 1) You’ve been a Meetings Director with Industrious, Convene or another co-working space; 2) a Conferencing and Events Director who has worked for a luxury hotel; 3) an Events Director who has coordinated high-end private events.
- You have an understanding of catering processes, vendor management, and coordination.
- You are familiar with CRM and marketing automation tools for customer acquisition and engagement.
