The Role:
Data integration platform falls under the broader Core platform org vision “To
empower
CommerceIQ's developers to
rapidly deliver
exceptional
products with high quality that drive
customer
value at scale.” with focus on integrating with external data sources (ingress and egress). This pod is responsible for building and maintaining the core platform to enable timely, accurate data download applications at scale. External data sources here are retailers and aggregators providing API access to our customers' business data on their site.We’re looking for a skilled application engineer to join this team to develop and maintain data download applications built on the integration platform.
What You'll Do:
- Apply your engineering skills to the development and maintenance of Data integration applications.
- Handle daily operations and meet relevant SLAs, further figure out ways to automate the same.
- Touch base with relevant application teams, product teams and other stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Handle API migrations from external parties and ensure no disruption to CIQ business.
- Provide requirements to the platform team to make the platform robust, fault tolerant and low on ops.
- Produce high-quality code in alignment with the squad’s coding standards and design practices.
- Play an active role in the growth and development of the squad; explore and learn new techniques, technologies and tools.
- Own your changes from development to production and beyond.
What You'll Bring:
- Hands-on experience developing systems and products using Java and spring boot
- Understanding of AWS capabilities
- Good in Debugging, Coding, Problem solving
- Good interpersonal and communications skills
- A passion for delivering quality software
- Desire to learn new things
- Good troubleshooting skills
Nice to Haves:
- Familiarity with SDLC and agile methodologies
- Hands on experience of building services in the cloud, especially with AWS
- Data analysis and SQL skills
