The Opportunity
About the Role & Consensus
Held since 2015, Consensus is the only festival showcasing and celebrating all sides of the blockchain, crypto, and Web 3 ecosystems, and their wide-reaching effect on commerce, culture, and communities. Each year, Consensus brings tens of thousands of attendees together to hear from sought-after thought leaders and experience a wide range of discussions, meetings, parties, music performances, dinners, experiences, and much more. In 2025, we will launch Consensus Hong Kong & Consensus Toronto. We are seeking an Events Programming & Speaker Success Coordinator to join our growing team.
This individual will support the events programming team for Consensus Hong Kong (Feb 18-20, 2025), and Consensus 2025 (May 14-16 in Toronto) by maintaining the speaker database, managing speaker onboarding and relations, ensuring the marketing and events teams have all needed programming assets, updating speakers and agendas on the website and helping the team adhere to programming timelines.This role will be required to work onsite from our NYC office based near Union Square. Required days per week is at the discretion of the hiring manager and may shift to more/less based on business needs.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain the Consensus and Events programming database
- Manage speaker onboarding and communications
- Coordinate pre-event logistics and prep calls for speakers
- Monitor and update speaker and agenda postings on the website
- Assist in content development through original research and relationship development
- Ensure the marketing and events teams have all needed programming assets
- Engage with Speakers as main point of contact, both for their session, as well as canvassing for their business goals around the event, and working with other internal teams to facilitate successful overall experience for them at the event(s).
What You Have
- Highly collaborative, superb organizational skills, effective communicator and tech savvy
- 2+ years experience in content creation or event programming
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and creatively problem solve under deadline and in a live-event environment
- Prior work or strong interest in cryptocurrencies and blockchain a plus
- Comfortable with multiple technology and data management systems: event platforms, Airtable, Google Suite, Excel etc
- Comfortable with the demands of a start-up culture with limited resources
CoinDesk Inc and CoinDesk Indices Inc. are committed to offering competitive compensation and benefits. The anticipated base salary for this position is $90,000 - $100,000 + discretionary annual target bonus + benefits. Offered salary may vary based on geographic location, including city and state, and will be reflective of job-related knowledge, skills and commensurate experience.
