$1.6T logistics industry.Flexe is seeking a talented Senior Contracts Manager to join our Legal team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in negotiating commercial agreements, improving processes and driving efficiencies both within the Legal team and with our internal business partners. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter with extensive experience in the contracts negotiation process, as well as contract lifecycle and contracts administration & management. This role will help support the Commercial Team and broader organization, and will report to the Director & Associate General Counsel.
Job Responsibilities
Contract Review and Negotiation
- This role will be responsible for contract review, negotiation and drafting, including revenue generating contracts, amendments and ancillary documents, amendments and ancillary documents with our customers and warehouse operators supporting company growth, and third-party vendors supporting internal business needs.
- This role will be responsible for coordinating with attorneys, internal clients and other functional areas to ensure timely completion of agreements and approval of contractual terms, where required.
- The Senior Contracts Manager will help identify and recommend contract-related process improvements to create greater efficiencies and effectiveness, and to conduct internal contract process and related training as needed across company departments.
Contract and Legal Intake Management
- The Senior Contracts Manager will lead the support, maintenance and evolution of the Legal team’s contract intake and matter management solutions.
- This role will be primarily responsible for maintaining the existing Legal team contracts repository, and supporting future projects to identify and track key contract terms.
- This position will lead the administrative contract lifecycle, including ensuring proper signature authority and routing agreements for signature (e.g. Docusign).
Legal Team and Organization Support
- This position will play a key role in the Legal team so the Senior Contract Manager must be willing to assist in new areas as our business may require.
- Potential areas of support through legal research, problem solving, or other engagement may include marketing review and litigation/dispute support.
- The Senior Contracts Manager will support responding to incoming questions to the Legal team from internal business groups.
- This role will assist in the maintenance and development of the Legal team playbook and contract templates.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of contracts management, paralegal, or other comparable experience within a law firm, government agency, or in-house legal department, with responsibility for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating the legal terms of a broad range of standard commercial contracts
- Experience supporting high volume contract flow
- Experience operating contract intake solutions and contract management systems
- An expert user of DocuSign
- Deep understanding of contracts, contractual language and the contract lifecycle
- Experience interpreting contract requests, drafting contracts, and managing contract records
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on written and verbal communication.
- Excellent organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to uphold the highest standards of discretion and confidentiality
- The ability to effectively manage competing priorities
Preferred Qualifications
- In-house experience is a plus
- Experience working with a sales team is preferred
The salary range for this role is $118,800 to $138,600 depending, in part, on candidate location. Recruiting will confirm the specific range for the candidate location in the initial phone screen.
