We're searching for an exceptional Data Engineer who thrives where business intelligence, data architecture, and web analytics meet. We need someone who can seamlessly navigate compliance and data privacy concerns, particularly for our expanding roster of healthcare clients. The Data Engineer will work closely with teammates from the Marketing Science team to ensure seamless data integration and analysis. They will interface with Account Managers to understand client project requirements and deliver solutions that align with client goals.
Collaboration with leaders from other parts of Wheelhouse, including Creative, Digital Advertising, and Digital Strategy, is crucial to ensure a holistic approach to engagements. Additionally, the Data Engineer will interact with client stakeholders of varying seniorities, from junior analysts to senior executives, to present insights, gather feedback, and adapt solutions to meet their needs.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Design, maintain, and support client- and server-side web analytics and tag management solutions.
- Collaborate with client and internal stakeholders to turn business requirements into data architectures.
- Develop ETL pipelines for assembling marketing data sources into data lakes, marts, and warehouses.
- Provide data visualization and reporting guidance for our proprietary BI and marketing tools.
- Support quality assurance testing and document processes for data integrity.
- Monitor and resolve data infrastructure anomalies.
- Participate in analytics audits and business development activities.
- Communicate insights and recommendations to both internal and external clients.
Essential:
- 2-3 years of experience as a data engineer or in a similar role.
- Comfortable with data architecture practices in several environments, including AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Intermediate data visualization skills using tools like Power BI, Looker Studio, and Tableau
- Comfortable with web analytics platforms like Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, PIWIK PRO
- Comfortable with tag management platforms like Google Tag Manager, Tealium, and Adobe Launch
- Intermediate Python skills for data processing.
- Intermediate SQL skills and understanding of relational databases.
Preferred:
- Background in data-regulated industries, specifically healthcare or financial data systems.
- Experience in Agile project management environments.
- Intermediate JavaScript and tag management experience.
- Strong git and documentation practices.
- Familiarity with Regular Expressions (RegEx) and developer tools.
