Core Responsibilities
- Identify and implement ways to create efficiencies in processes
- Accurately process and record vendor invoices and expense reports in a timely manner
- Ensure proper documentation, authorization, and coding of invoices and expense reports
- Work closely with team members around the company to resolve vendor inquiries and manage vendor relationships
- Develop and implement a process for new vendor negotiation and setup process
- Perform monthly reconciliations and analysis of accounts payable transactions
- Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes and provide support for financial audits/reviews
- Enter credit card and bank account transactions in the financial system
- Execute credit card and bank account reconciliation
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and accounting principles
- Help other team members take on challenges in additional areas of accounting, and work to solve problems
- Conduct regular audits to identify and resolve financial discrepancies
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures
Requirements

- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with both internal and external stakeholders
- Detail-oriented: Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- 2+ years of experience in accounting or a related role
- Prior payments industry experience is helpful but is not required
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices including GAAP
- Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency in organizing data, utilizing pivot tables, writing formulas, and extracting data into Excel
- Prior experience with accounting software such as Intact, FloCast, and Ramp
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Technical requirements
- Must have access to a wired internet connection
- Must have access to at least a 25 megabits per second (mbps) download and 20 mbps upload speed connection

The salary for this position is $80,000.
