About the Role:
Unite Us is seeking a Corporate Counsel who is interested in working in a collaborative environment to help our growing legal team manage contracts and deal flow, among other legal responsibilities. The Corporate Counsel will report to the Associate General Counsel, Commercial & Corporate and take lead on drafting and reviewing commercial contracts across our product lines. Candidates should be prepared to work on commercial transactions, intellectual property matters, and strategic partnerships, among other types of matters.
What You’ll Do:
- Draft and negotiate customer, vendor, and partner contracts on behalf of the company across all of its geographies
- Advise on contract status and potential legal risks associated with commercial contracts
- Review advertising and marketing materials to ensure that they are in compliance with legal requirements
- Draft, review, and provide legal guidance on responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to ensure compliance with legal standards and alignment with company policies and objectives
- Offer proactive and strategic legal advice to senior management and other key stakeholders and support on strategic transactions such as financings and acquisitions
- Provide training to the company on legal topics
You’re a great fit for this role if:
- 2+ years of experience gained in a large law firm and/or in-house
- Undergraduate and law degree
- Admission to a recognized bar
- Healthcare sector and in-house experience is preferred (but not required)
- Experience with software and commercial contracts preferred (but not required)
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills, along with the ability to communicate effectively with others at all levels of the organization
- Ability to issue spot within the context of the company’s business priorities
- Strong negotiating skills with both legal and financial/commercial issues
- Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships within the organization’s legal department and across all departments
- Ability to work independently

Environmental Job Requirements and Working Conditions:
- This position is remote, U.S. based
- The target pay range for this role is: $130,000-$155,000 This salary range represents our target hiring range for this role. The proposed salary will be dependent on the candidate's skills, experience, and competencies, as well as location.
- This position may require 5% travel
- All team members will be required to pass a background check which includes criminal, employment, and education verification
