The Senior B2B Content and PR Lead will play a crucial role in shaping and executing our content and public relations strategies to drive engagement, enhance brand awareness, and support our marketing and sales efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in B2B content creation and public relations, particularly within the payments industry. This role requires a strategic thinker who can produce high-quality content, manage PR initiatives, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure consistent messaging across all channels.
Key Responsibilities:
Content Creation:
Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with the company's business goals and marketing objectives.
Create engaging and informative content for various formats, including blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, eBooks, infographics, videos, webinars, and more.
Lead content initiatives from ideation to publication, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to brand guidelines.
Conduct thorough research on industry trends, competitor activities, and target audience needs to inform content development.
Collaborate with the marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams to identify content opportunities and support their initiatives.
Optimize content for SEO to increase organic traffic and improve search engine rankings.
Analyze content performance metrics and use insights to refine and enhance the content strategy.
Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in content marketing and the payments industry.
Manage external content creators and agencies as needed to supplement internal content production.
Public Relations:
Develop and implement PR strategies to enhance the company's brand image and reputation within the payments industry.
Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists, industry influencers, and other stakeholders.
Oversee and manage relationships with external PR agencies to ensure alignment with business objectives and maximize ROI.
Coordinate and manage media interviews, press conferences, and other PR events.
Write and distribute press releases, media pitches, and other PR materials to secure coverage in relevant publications.
Monitor media coverage and analyze the effectiveness of PR campaigns, adjusting strategies as needed.
Handle crisis communication and manage the company's response to any potential PR issues.
Collaborate with the executive team to identify and promote thought leadership opportunities, including speaking engagements, panel discussions, and bylined articles.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in B2B content creation, with a significant portion spent in the payments or financial services industry.
Proven track record of developing and executing successful content and PR strategies that drive engagement and generate leads.
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
Strong understanding of SEO principles and experience optimizing content for search engines.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation tools.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong analytical skills to assess content and PR performance and make data-driven decisions.
Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative content and PR ideas and solutions.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with video production and editing.
Knowledge of the payments industry, including emerging trends and technologies.
Familiarity with social media platforms and strategies for B2B engagement.
Experience in managing external PR agencies.
