A quick run-down of the job
We are looking for a Security Architect to spearhead our security framework, ensuring our systems and data are well-protected against emerging threats. You will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing security strategies, performing risk assessments, and fostering a security-conscious culture within our company. This position is perfect for someone who is deeply passionate about cybersecurity and adept at both strategic oversight and technical execution.
What you'll do
Develop and implement comprehensive security strategies, frameworks, and architectures to protect our network, systems, and data
Conduct risk assessments, identify vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen our security posture
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR) and maintain threat and risk registers
Investigate and respond to security incidents and breaches, performing detailed analysis to determine root causes and impacts
Work closely with stakeholders to establish and enforce security controls, policies, and procedures
Lead security initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring they align with organizational objectives and best practices
Promote a security-centric community through workshops, content creation, and outreach, establishing LI.FI as a cybersecurity leader
Stay updated with the latest blockchain security developments, participate in security audits, and contribute to security documentation and guidelines
What makes a good candidate
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field
3 to 5 years of progressive experience in a SOC or cybersecurity role, with an emphasis on incident response and threat analysis
Comprehensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, GDPR)
Proficiency with security technologies and tools, including SIEM, EDR, DLP, WAF, and network security devices
Strong understanding of networking protocols, malware analysis, and attack vectors
Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis
Solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, smart contract vulnerabilities, and DeFi-specific security risks
Familiarity with common attack vectors in Web3, such as flash loan attacks, reentrancy, and oracle manipulation
Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective interaction within the team and external stakeholders
Ability to work well within a team and to be self-guided on a day-to-day basis
Willingness to quickly and successfully embrace and adapt change
Willingness to learn and grow within the role
