Rad Power Bikes has grown to 600,000 customers, leading a revolution in low carbon mobility.We are looking for RADICAL people to join our global teams: Results-Driven, Approachable, Diverse, Innovative, Customer-Driven, Accountable, and always Learning.We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to join our team as a Sales Director within our Retail Partner Program Organization.

The ideal candidate will lead our strategy and team to identify and acquire new retail partners, or dealers, who help sell and service our bikes and accessories. Originally a direct to consumer brand only, Rad Power Bikes is expanding its sales distribution channels by partnering with large retailers, commercial customers, regional bike retailers, as well as local bike shops across North America. We are looking for an experienced leader to lead the way in helping more customers Ride Rad. The salary for this role is $150,000 - 175,000 annually; however, we consider several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated  responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.

Why You’re Rad (about you): 


  • 8-10+ years experience in account and/or territory management
  • 5+ years experience in a leadership role within the bike industry or a related sector
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue
  • Strategic Sales Planning: Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies to achieve business objectives and drive revenue growth. Analyze market trends, identify opportunities, and create action plans to capitalize on them.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales targets. Foster a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous improvement within the team.
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand Rad’s market presence. Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective customers.
  • Sales Operations: Oversee the sales operations, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting. Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs. Use this knowledge to inform sales strategies and potential partners. 
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Rad Retail Partner Account Management team and leader to ensure a cohesive handoff between sales and development and into account management. 
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Lead negotiations and manage contracts with key customers. Ensure favorable terms and conditions that align with Rad’s business goals.
  • Training and Development: Provide ongoing training and development opportunities for the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Strong professional business acumen with a people first focus, to drive for results, exceeds expectations.
  • Experience in driving results to exceed expectations while balancing company initiatives, manage/track P&L budget, forecast inventory based on business trends.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, develop, coach, mentor and motivate teams and individuals to reach business goals.
  • Able to confidently and impeccably communicate complex topics and policies to a variety of people, in writing and verbally. 
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, creative problem solver, strong leadership and decision making skills with the ability to sell, manage and drive growth.
  • Create and foster a welcoming, diverse and inclusive workforce through recruitment, training and performance management for multifunctional teams. 
  • Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Additional Requirements: 


  • Degree in Operations or Business Admin or equivalent work experience 
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
  • Experience working in large retail, fast paced environments
  • Ability to lift, push/pull can carry 65+ pounds without assistance
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Other duties as assigned
