About the Job
We are looking for Data Scientists to help grow our research and data analysis capabilities at RADAR. The role requires extensive collaboration with teams and functions across the company ranging from product and customer success to engineering and research.
In your 30 days, you will:
- Understand our tech stack including all of our systems, algorithms, machine learning models and infrastructure.
- Work alongside the team to train and deploy various machine learning models in production.
- Work alongside the team to analyze model performance in stores and present results to internal and external stakeholders.
In your 60 days, you will:
- Take on unsolved problems and devise solutions independently, including training, deployment and monitoring of machine learning models in production.
- Contribute to reviewing the team’s work and improving existing models, team practices and infrastructure.
- Contribute to debugging and data analysis for various problems across the company.
In your 90 days, you will:
- Take end-to-end ownership of features from problem definition to planning, execution and delivery through collaboration with colleagues across teams.
Responsibilities:
- Work as a member of our Core Tech team to develop RFID and CV based retail intelligence algorithms.
- Design, train, deploy and scale algorithms and machine learning models to improve RADAR’s core technologies.
- Contribute to developing and improving RADAR’s Data Science infrastructure, processes and best practices.
- Contribute to data modeling and analysis efforts across various functions at the company to make sure we are making data informed decisions.
- Contribute to designing and developing RADAR’s analytics and data products.
- Design and run experiments / simulations from the ground up to help improve our core technologies.
- Perform deep dives into existing datasets and systems in order to uncover and resolve underlying issues.
- Promote and maintain a high standard of scientific and statistical rigor.
About You
Required:
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Python and standard data science tools / packages (NumPy, Pandas, Jupyter, etc.).
- Exceptional analytical & problem solving skills.
- Solid foundational understanding of statistics, probability, linear algebra and numerical optimization.
- Prior experience with training, deploying, monitoring and improving machine learning models at scale.
- Experience conducting experiments with minimal guidance from hypothesis generation and data gathering to analysis and result presentation.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field, or a Bachelor’s degree and equivalent practical experience.
- 3+ years of experience working in a data science role.
- Experience working with real-time data streams and large-scale data warehouses.
- Experience with data engineering and data science infrastructure design.
