Summary of Job:
Our Senior Accountant is responsible for performing complex accounting needs for Lumistry and related entities. Duties include owning and executing accounting processes, reviewing financial data to make forecasting decisions and communicating with Executives about financial strategies. This role will be based out of our office in Austin, TX and will adhere to our hybrid work model of two days in office each week. Description of Job Duties:

  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance, including making journal entries
  • Assist in preparing weekly and monthly financial reports
  • Assist in the Accounts Payable and the Accounts Receivable process were necessary
  • Analyze financial statements for discrepancies and alert the Controller if necessary
  • Assist the Controller with preparing documentation for the external auditors
  • Recommend ways to reduce costs and enhance revenue
  • Other duties as assigned 

Required Education, Experience and Special Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar field
  • At least 3 years of prior experience as a Senior Accountant
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Proficient in word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team
  • Strong understanding of federal, state and local tax regulations
  • Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
  • Experience with NetSuite and Quickbooks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • This position will be based out of our HQ in Austin, TX and will follow our hybrid work model of two days in the office each week

Preferred Skills or Experience:

  • Prior experience in similar role within the Private Equity environment
  • Prior experience in the Pharmacy Industry
