About the Role
SafeLease is looking for an Accounting Manager responsible for supporting all businesses at SafeLease, consulting on accounting implications and supporting teams' ability to make informed strategic decisions. This role will ensure accurate and timely recording of all business-generated transactions on our balance sheet and income statement.SafeLease offers its teammates unlimited PTO, comprehensive health benefits, and more.
Responsibilities
- Participate in building scalable accounting processes to support fast growth
- Plan and perform monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analyses and analytical reviews, producing internal management reporting and external audit support
- Partner with Product, Tax and Legal teams to support internal financial systems process improvements and automation and to advise on accounting implications
- Design, implement and execute efficient internal control procedures
- Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedural documentation
- Manage AP and AR processes for multiple products and business lines
About You
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- 3-5+ years of relevant public accounting and/or insurance industry accounting experience
- Fluency in U.S. GAAP
- Experience with Sage Intacct
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, both written and verbal
- Strong knowledge of Excel and experience working with large data
- Demonstrated experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with internal controls (design, implementation and execution)
- Demonstrated history of taking on various types of challenging projects and producing results
- Solution-oriented mindset with enthusiasm for establishing best practices
