The Challenge to Solve
As we establish our presence in Prishtina, we are seeking an exceptional leader to join us as the Director of Site Operations. This pivotal role will be the cornerstone of our new office, driving strategic initiatives and operational excellence to scale our team to over 100+ people within the first year.As the Director of Site Operations, you will be the inaugural leader of Slice's Kosovo office. This is a unique opportunity to build and shape the foundation of our operations, ensuring we establish a strong presence and achieve rapid growth.
You will provide strategic functional support, oversee day-to-day operations, and lead a diverse team to deliver exceptional results. Your leadership will be instrumental in fostering a dynamic, innovative & productive work environment that aligns with Slice's core values and mission. This role will be onsite and report into our Head of Phone. Your duties may also include:
- Provide strategic and comprehensive support for functional needs, including scaling operations to a site of 100+ employees
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities, business partners, and the community
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Slice to ensure seamless integration and alignment of initiatives
- Represent Slice at industry events, enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation in the region to help us drive our expansion efforts
- Assist in the implementation of company policies and procedures at the local level and compliant with local regulations
- Ensure scalable processes and systems are in place to support future growth
- Support the integration of local operations with the overall company strategy and objectives
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Slice to ensure seamless integration and alignment of initiatives.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Prishtina office and hire the right people to help you do so
- Manage budgets, resources, and logistics to support the rapid scaling of operations
- Foster a positive and inclusive office culture that promotes teamwork, collaboration, and high performance.
- Ensure transparent and effective communication between the Prishtina office and the wider global organisation
The Winning Recipe
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field
- 5+ years proven experience in a senior leadership role, preferably in a fast-paced and rapidly growing organization
- Demonstrated success in scaling operations (experience in a US based company would be highly advantageous!)
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive results in a dynamic environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Knowledge of the local business environment and regulatory landscape in Kosovo is a plus
- Fluency in English; knowledge of Albanian or Serbian is an advantage
