SALARY: $65,000 per year
POSITION SUMMARY:
The School of Visual Arts (SVA) is seeking a dynamic and strategic professional for the newly created position of Manager, Partnerships, and Rankings Optimization. Working in Admissions, this role is designed to enhance SVA’s visibility and reputation by optimizing its placement on college ranking listings and managing its presence on third-party websites frequented by prospective students. The successful candidate will work closely with the Admissions team and other stakeholders to bolster and enhance recruiting efforts
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve SVA’s position in national and international college rankings, such as U.S. News and World Report, QS University Rankings, and beyond.
- Analyze ranking methodologies to identify areas for improvement and align internal processes and protocols to maximize favorable exposure.
- Collect, analyze, and report data required for rankings submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Monitor trends and changes in ranking methodologies and adjust strategies accordingly, centering art colleges as a key area of expertise and focus.
- Collaborate with Academic departments and various administrative offices to gather necessary data and insights. Liaise accordingly with Institutional Research, Academic Affairs, Communications, Visual Arts Press, and other internal entities to coordinate and align efforts.
- Lead and collaborate on the creation of external-facing digital and print material such as Institutional Reports to widen awareness of the College for influential constituents.
- Manage relationships with third-party ranking organizations and websites to enhance SVA’s visibility and reputation; Negotiate and manage agreements with external partners to maximize benefits for SVA.
- Serve as the primary point of content for third-party sites and ranking organizations on which Admissions maintains an enhanced profile.
- Prepare and present reports on ranking performance, partnership effectiveness, and online presence to members of the leadership team as needed.
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of information across all third-party platforms.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase positive reviews and testimonials on third-party sites.
- Meet routinely with the Associate Executive Director; produce monthly summaries of sector progress for the Associate Executive Director.
- Stay informed about best practices and trends in higher education rankings, partnership management, rankings, and online presence optimization.
- Attend relevant conferences, workshops, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Support the Admissions team at large weekend recruitment events (approximately 5 times per year).
- Manage travel expenses; submit monthly travel & expense reports.
- Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Undergraduate degree in Art, Education, Marketing (or a related field).
- Two years of full-time, administrative work experience in higher education.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Interest and commitment to the goals of higher education.
- Comfort with public speaking and presenting data.
- Computer literacy, including familiarity with Apple platforms and with Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite, and Google Office Suite.
- Strong quantitative reasoning and analytical skills are required
- Strong close attention to detail is required.
- Strong writing and editing abilities.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
