Assistant Community Manager


We are seeking an Assistant Community Manager to ensure an amazing resident experience at one of our multifamily communities.  

What You’ll Do…


  • Assist the Community Manager and with all phases of on-site operations including budget management, resident communications, daily activities, management of leasing maintenance and housekeeping teams
  • Act as a backup when the Community Manager is not available
  • Develop strong working relationships with residents; solicit feedback on an ongoing basis and strives to continually improve resident experiences 
  • Work with Community Manager to achieve high resident satisfaction and retention
  • Maintain and adhere to purchase order system and invoice submittal to ensure bills are paid in a timely manner
  • Achieve established budgeted financial and operational goals including revenue, occupancy, expense management
  • Help keep team motivated and apprised of organizational updates
  • Work to maintain high expectations for upkeep of the property and swiftly addresses concerns
  • Support apartment leasing life cycle
  • Process applications, credit/criminal background screening; prepare leases and move-in packages to ensure a smooth resident experience
  • Support Manager with rent collection, rent increases, lease files, delinquent accounts, payment of invoices and evictions 
  • Perform activities assigned in support of the property’s lease renewal program by preparing lease renewal letters and packages for residents, meeting with and contacting renewing residents in advance of move-out dates and ensuring that lease renewal documents are signed and implemented on time
  • Supports leasing activities including lead generation, qualification, tours and closing; acts as a partner and back up to Leasing Professional

Qualifications


  • A high school diploma and a minimum of one year experience in multifamily housing
  • Experience with lease-up properties preferred
  • Experience with property management software (Yardi/RentCafe preferred)
  • Experience maintaining financial records, managing budgets and financial reporting
  • Bi-lingual is Required for this position.

Requirements


  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends and/or holidays when required
  • Must be able to physically access all exterior and interior parts of the property and amenities; must be able to push, pull, lift, carry, or maneuver weights of up to twenty (20) pounds independently and fifty (50) pounds with assistance
  • May be required to assist in emergency measures as required where weather conditions could include temperatures in excess of 90 degrees or below 32 degrees 
  • Must be eligible to work in the US
  • Must satisfy criminal and driving background check
