About the Job:
We are currently seeking an HR Funding Coordinator & University Relations Intern for a challenging experience-based internship to contribute to an innovative and groundbreaking project in the field of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Are you passionate about technology and looking to make your mark in the industry? Come join our dynamic team as we push the boundaries and create a game-changer in the world of AI. You will have the unique opportunity to participate in a fully immersive internship where you will be contributing to identifying funding opportunities and building university relations efforts.
This is designed largely as a remote placement however can also be a hybrid internship (Chicago or Toronto). In this engagement/applied learning internship, you’ll gain unparalleled experience in a high-growth, dynamic environment, directly interfacing with senior management and largely different from any other internship. It will be a demanding internship and will require you to bring the best version of yourself to the table, but for those who embrace this, it will be a richly rewarding experience as well as a great compliment to your academic investment.
What You’ll Do:
- Coordinate closely with the Finance team to identify opportunities for process improvement and improve collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement best practices.
- Contribute to the development and execution of staffing plans in support of our aggressive growth objectives.
- Identify and secure funding opportunities to support HR initiatives, including grants, partnerships, and sponsorships.
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential funders, partners, and other stakeholders.
- Research and identify relevant university career fairs and networking events.
- Develop and maintain relationships with university administrators and career service officers.
- Assist in developing recruitment strategies tailored to different universities and academic programs.
About You:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Master's level university program specific to Human Resources like a Master of Science in Human Resource Management (MSHRM) or MBA with a focus on Finance.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and strong accountability to effectively engage in your work and contribute in a team environment ultimately driving success within Human Resource efforts.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and implementing best practices.
- Proficient communication in English (both verbal and written) is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
