What we are looking for
AscellaHealth seeks an Accounting Manager to join our growing Finance department to manage and maintain the general ledger for multiple AscellaHealth entities. This can include cross-entity billing and accounting for cross-entity transactions. The Accounting Manager position will also work with the senior leaders of the Finance team to analyze and review financial statements. This position is focused on a deep understanding of managing a GL and will be an individual contributor role to start.This is a hybrid position with 3 days per week in our Berwyn, PA office.
What the position will be doing
- Maintain the General Ledger per the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for multiple entities within AscellaHealth.
- Perform Month and Year-end close and related reporting for assigned entities.
- Perform Monthly General Ledger account reconciliations.
- Analyze significant variances to budget, month over month, and prior year.
- Perform cross-entity billing and accounting for cross-entity transactions
- Create, maintain, document, and review processes for internal controls.
- Act as liaison with external tax preparers and auditors for all entities.
- Work with the senior finance management team to analyze and review financial statements.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; remaining flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by departmental and organizational needs.
Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities
- A bachelor's degree, or four-year equivalent, in Accounting, Finance, or a related field of study.
- At least four years of progressive responsibility in accounting or finance.
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting, finance, and financial control principles.
- A CPA is a plus.
- Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
- Experience in working with accounting software and databases, Dynamics Business Central knowledge is a plus
- Experience in the Pharmaceutical industry is a plus
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically advanced Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize work, and balance multiple projects and deadlines that may have constantly changing priorities.
- Relentless attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to use independent judgment and initiative based on familiarity with organization and accounting processes and procedures.
- Ability to solve complicated problems and see projects through to completion.
- Extensive knowledge in process optimization and efficiency improvement of billing and collection operations.
- Ability to think and act independently, formulate and support new ideas, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of own responsibilities.
