Ilir Sela started Slice with the belief that local pizzerias deserve all of the advantages of major franchises without compromising their independence. Starting with his family’s pizzerias, we now empower over tens of thousands of restaurants with the technology, services, and collective power that owners need to better serve their digitally minded customers and build lasting businesses. We’re growing and adding more talent to help fulfil this valuable mission. That’s where you come in.
The Challenge to Solve
Logistics Engineering develops software that make deliveries a great experience for both shops and their customers, whether a shop uses their own drivers or relies on Slice for fulfilment. Our code directly impacts almost every part of the Slice ecosystem.
The Role
On the Logistics integrations team you will write and maintain code which streamlines and enhances the delivery experience across a suite of applications. The role will involve working collaboratively with other engineers to build best in class solutions to the unique problems that our shop owners face. This role will be primarily focused on web applications, including Owners Portal (which allows shop owners to run their restaurant day to day) and Storefront (which provides a consumer facing order experience for web users).
Candidates will need to be equally comfortable with both Web and Back-End development, as this role will frequently flex into Back-End engineering, working closely with other teams on the APIs that support delivery on platforms such as Register and Slice’s mobile apps.
The Team
The integrations team consists of six other engineers who work together to support logistics across a suite of apps and technologies. You will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Product Managers, Designers and Back-End Engineers to execute on our roadmap and make a real difference for our shop owners and their customers.
