What we are looking for
AscellaHealth is seeking a Billing Analyst to ensure we accurately bill our clients and oversee all related accounts receivable by generating and tracking invoices and identifying and resolving discrepancies, irregularities, and claims. He/She/They will also work to reconcile all accounts receivables as well as provide reporting to clients and ad-hoc support for audit requests and special projects. This position will be hybrid with 3 days in our Berwyn office expected per week.
What the position will be doing
- Manage all assigned billing.
- Create and send customer invoices.
- Collaborate with other internal departments, including the Clinical Team, to ensure billing accuracy.
- Identify and resolve any errors, discrepancies, or irregularities with individual specialty coordinators and clients.
- Generate and provide invoice supporting reports.
- Produce monthly reports including key metrics, financial results, and variance reporting.
- Record and track client payments.
- Reconcile all Accounts Receivable by comparing and correcting transaction-level data.
- Maintain financial database by entering, verifying, and backing up data.
- Participate in new client kick-offs to ensure all onboarding requirements are collected and entered into the company systems.
- Maintain the confidentiality of financial information.
- Maintain and grow technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing publications, and identifying other learning channels.
- Actively contributes to a positive work environment by acting and communicating to facilitate relationships, continuity of business operations, and meet company demands and expectations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or as necessary; demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in work schedules/and work assignments driven by departmental and organizational needs.
Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities
- Bachelor’s degree, or 4-year equivalent, required. Preferably with a concentration in finance, accounting, or related business field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the accounting or finance field.
- Specific experience in billing and accounts receivable functions is required.
- Exceptional proficiency working with Excel, including working with pivot tables, formulas, and VLOOKUPS.
- Knowledge of laws and best practices related to customer interactions as well as healthcare and financial data management.
- Knowledge of the healthcare, PBM, and/or pharmaceutical space is ideal.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to communicate in multiple mediums with all levels within an organization and with clients and customers.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing processes and procedures within a growing company.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to provide solutions to complex problems.
