As a Generative AI Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing both customer-facing and internal-use solutions that leverage large language models in the health technology domain. You will work closely with the editors of MCG’s evidence-based care guidelines, data scientists, and clinical informaticists to develop AI applications that enhance content production and/or improve operational efficiency. This is a unique opportunity for full-stack development to experiment and solve for multiple use cases. Responsibilities:
- Solve internal and external customer problems using LLM technologies and tactics you choose that balance speed, function, and long-term robustness
- Work closely with and assist clinical editors in more efficient and accurate content creation
- Rapid prototyping of generative AI applications
- Full-stack development from proof-of-concept to front-end UI
- Evaluate, measure, and improve performance on a continuous basis
- Collaborate with clinical editors to prioritize new use cases for development and obtain feedback on existing solutions
- Work with data scientists to rigorously evaluate various strategies of optimizing prompts
- Stay up to date on industry developments
Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of full-time software engineering experience
- Python advanced proficiency
- Experience with modern front-end web technologies, such as React.js
- Familiarity with Azure or AWS cloud computing
- Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability
Preferred qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Experience building generative AI solutions with OpenAI (e.g. GPT-4 API)
- Proficiency in leveraging RAG, chunking, and embedding techniques in AI solutions
- Health technology domain experience
- Experience working with clinicians
Pay Range:
$127,500– $178,500
