[ Your Role ]


The Bokksu team is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Clerk to specialize in all things receiving, fulfilling, and shipping for our rapidly growing retail distribution channel. This role requires working 30 hours a week from our Warehouse in Carlstadt, New Jersey.

[ Your Responsibilities ]


  • Ensuring Accurate Inventory Receipt: Monitor all inbound shipments (including international container shipments), verifying the contents of each delivery, and labeling and storing all materials for easy retrieval
  • Supplier Management: identify any and all non-conformities at receiving (i.e. shortages, items not on purchase orders, short-dated products, missing products, etc.) and work with the Procurement Team on resolution.
  • Study and Ensure Compliance with Vendor Shipping Guidelines: Become an expert in all vendor shipping guidelines, create systems and resources (e.g. database, SOPs, etc.) and manage fulfillment to ensure that outbound orders are fully compliant with guidelines, and coordinate pick-up and delivery such that the team does not receive any customer chargebacks.
  • Create Retailer Database: Create resources detailing all information regarding retailer shipment specifications for both electronic and in-warehouse use.
  • Plan and Coordinate Fulfillment: Create and maintain fulfillment schedule for customer purchase orders in accordance with container delivery schedules and customer ship and cancel dates and work with the Warehouse Supervisor to plan and schedule labor.
  • Plan and Coordinate Outbound Shipping: Prepare paperwork for outbound deliveries, coordinate with retailers to schedule delivery appointments, and organize freight with logistics carriers to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Maintain Accurate Records in Databases: Update and maintain accurate records in team databases with respect to fulfillment and shipping progress and carrier and tracking information such that Sales Managers can accurately provide updates to customers
  • Coordinate Invoicing with Finance: Maintain timely and accurate communication with finance regarding outbound shipments to enable on-time invoicing.
  • Monitoring Supplies for Retail Distribution Orders: Monitor supply levels for corrugate, labels, packing tape, etc. and coordinate with Procurement to ensure that sufficient supplies are available for customer order fulfillment.

[ Your Qualifications ]


  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
  • +2-3 years of experience in shipping and receiving or a related field (purchasing, procurement, operations, warehouse management, etc.)
  • Proficiency in shipping software and inventory management systems
  • Familiarity with e-commerce and project management tools, including Shopify, Slack, AirTable, ShipHero, Notion, Asana and Salesforce, or willingness to learn
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, take initiative, and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting
