The Technical Program Lead provides project management and business development support for scientific programs with technical assistance from Study Directors. The Technical Program Lead is an inside sales position and is expected to maintain customer relationships, ensure on-time project completion, identify and realize sales opportunities and maintain communication between external and internal program stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Leads program communication with customer stakeholders by maintaining a strong relationship, providing excellent customer service and identifying customer needs. Partners with business development for customer communication when applicable.
- Acts as the hub of communication for laboratory stakeholders (Sample Analysis, Data Analysis, Proposals, Business Development, Management, etc.)
- Proactively identifies new business opportunities in ongoing programs using scientific technical expertise as well as leveraging strong customer relationships.
- Collaborates with client contacts to expand book of business to other divisions and/or contacts.
- Collaborates with Project Coordinator(s) and Operations to ensure that all project management systems (Sales Force, JordiOps, ClickUp, or equivalent tools) are maintained, accurate and can ensure efficient project completion and financial forecasting.
- Collaborates with the Proposals Team to ensure that all proposals are accurately prepared and tailored to meet clients’ needs.
- Responsible for project performance, such as financial performance of programs, anticipating risks and reacting accordingly to maximize revenue, ensuring proper billing through accuracy of JordiOps, and tracking milestones to ensure on-time delivery.
- Maintains customer satisfaction through collaboration, service, and attention to detail.
- Work onsite and in-person when necessary to meet with clients or to advance project objectives. Flexibility in this regard is essential to ensure seamless client interactions and project progress.

Requirements:
- Bachelors’ degree required in chemistry or a related field.
- Masters or advanced degree a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Project Management experience preferred.
- Experience with project planning software, i.e., Microsoft Project.
- Experience with ClickUp is preferred.
- Ability to simultaneously control several projects.
- Strong business acumen; responds appropriately to customer and employee needs.
- Ability to communicate project and resource status to business leadership.
- Adapts to change when directed.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge and skills.
- High performance oriented, detail oriented, and strong organization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal communication and influencing skills as well as experience working collaboratively with clients and employees.
- Provides clear and appropriately detailed project updates.
