As the Bokksu Warehouse Operations Manager (Retail Distribution), you will hold a pivotal position in our operations, responsible for overseeing the efficient and organized functioning of the retail fulfillment operation based out of our New Jersey warehouse! Your duties will encompass the management of a team of warehouse associates and the meticulous execution of order fulfillment to ensure that our retail customers consistently receive their orders accurately and punctually. [ Your Responsibilities ]


  • Warehouse Operations Oversight: Supervise daily warehouse operations and retail order processing to ensure timely order fulfillment and adherence to customer specifications and vendor shipping guidelines; provide assistance in setting staffing levels consistent with budget constraints and departmental needs.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff for high-performance and accountability while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Inventory Control and Systems Management: Oversee inventory control, maintaining accuracy through stock monitoring, audits, and effective inventory practices; work with Procurement to resolve discrepancies regarding inbound shipments, analyze inventory data, optimize utilization, and reduce expenses.
  • Process Improvement and Development: Perform detailed analyses of existing operations and processes, gathering applicable data and identifying areas for improvement; build efficient and flawless operation processes and improve existing processes in collaboration with other teams and with automation and technology implementation.
  • Documentation and Operations Management: Provide support generating purchase orders detailing imported product details for US operations; create and assign work orders for fulfillment and logistics tasks.
  • Vendor and Shipping Coordination: Provide support in coordinating shipping schedules and ensure all outbound orders are in compliance with vendor shipping guidelines to prevent chargebacks.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce quality control standards and food safety protocols for product handling and storage.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain warehouse safety, cleanliness, and compliance with regulations.
  • Reporting: Generate and present regular warehouse performance reports, including key performance indicators (KPIs), to management.

[ Your Qualifications ]


  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree preferred)
  • +4-5 years of experience in warehouse management or supervisory roles, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position and proven experience in a related field (logistics, operations, purchasing, procurement, shipping and receiving, etc.)
  • Proficiency in inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS), such as ShipHero
  • Proficiency in using e-commerce and productivity tools such as Shopify, Notion, Slack, and Salesforce
  • Strong computer knowledge
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, scrappy startup environment, with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities, take initiative, and thrive in a dynamic and entrepreneurial setting
  • Experience working in the food industry. Direct relevant industry experience (retail, online grocery, mealkit, food delivery) and/or deep personal experience of Asian food products and Asian culture in the US is a plus
  • Based in New Jersey, available to work 5 days in the warehouse
