DESIGN has collaborated with a machine shop seeking an experienced
Accounting/Administrative Assistant to join their facility in Bend, OR. This company is a precision machine shop and manufacturing facility specializing in CNC Machining, Fabrication and Assembly for a wide range of industries including Aerospace, Electronics, Medical Equipment, and Industrial Manufacturing.

Primary Function:
The Accounting/Administrative Assistant will be responsible for general Office Duties including Accounting Processes, Job Costing and Customer Service. Other Duties will include working with the Purchasing Department, Quality Assurance department and becoming a safety member in a manufacturing environment.
Essential Job Functions - Responsibilities:
- Fill in office duties including Payroll, Banking, Posting Accounts Payable, Job Costing, Labor Ticket Entry and similar duties that arise.
- Answer incoming calls on 3 lines and utilize an intercom as needed
- Greet and direct customers
- Process payments and deposits, order office supplies, filing and scanning documents
- Work with the purchasing department as curator of Certificates of Conformances, tying quotes to purchase orders and following up on Vendor order statuses.
- Work with the Quality Assurance department moving files, updating documents and training to become a QC Auditor.
- Become a safety committee member following all OSHA requirements.
- Suggest and implement improvements.
- May perform other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience:
(Knowledge, skills, & abilities)
- Education in accounting or 3 years’ equivalent experience in processing payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Job Costing skills are a plus but will train.
- Strong computer (Outlook, Excel, QuickBooks, Visual Mfg.) and mathematical skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; writes clearly and concisely, assures communications are comprehensive and timely, involving all who need to know.
- Adhere to the client’s culture of quality, service and continuous improvement, while taking personal responsibility for your own actions and treating fellow employees, customers, and vendors respectfully and ethically.
- Able to show the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to show the ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems.
- Strong Analytical skills

- Pass a post offer background check
