The Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial systems and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. Must demonstrate a high-performance orientation, strong attention to detail, and advanced organization skills. Must possess excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills as well as experience working collaboratively with internal and external customers. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing with customers at all levels and articulate customer needs accurately.
Responsibilities
- · Ensures financial records systems are maintained in accordance with local generally accepted accounting standards (GAAP) and resolves accounting discrepancies.

- · Develops, implements, and maintains appropriate internal control procedures for financial accounting and treasury activities. Assists with internal and external audits and implements process improvements.
- · Approves, coordinates, and maintains changes and improvements in automated financial and management information systems for the company.
- · Support the A/P functions including vendor management and payment processing.
- · Lead European payroll activities across multiple European countries.
- · Prepare VAT returns and reconciliations and support other tax activities as required.
- · Interacts with other employees to provide consultative support to planning initiatives through financial and management information analyses, reports, and recommendations.
- · Analyzes and provides recommendations on cash flow and profitability to Senior Management as requested.
- · Undertakes special projects as assigned and able to make recommendations to ensure appropriate departmental support.
- · Perform other accounting duties as assigned.
Requirements
- · Certified Accountant, Advanced degree, an MBA, or equivalent education required.
- · Bachelor level degree in Accounting, Finance preferred.
- · 7+ years related work experience. Minimum 2 years as an individual contributor and 1-3 years’ experience in a supervisory role, preferred.
- · Strong technical accounting skills.
- · Knowledge of payroll in EU countries, in particular in Germany
- Fluent in English and German
