Portfolio Delivery Lead
We are looking for a dynamic Portfolio Delivery Lead. In this brand new role, you'll play a pivotal part in the seamless execution of software projects across multiple teams. This role demands a leader adept at delivering value to customers using lean and agile approaches, and ensuring projects align with budget and quality expectations. Your deep understanding of software development processes coupled with a strong understanding of Product feature delivery will drive the success of our initiatives, as you collaborate closely with product managers, engineering managers, and technical leads.
This position is ideal for someone who excels in a fast-paced environment and has a strong track record of delivering complex software projects.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Portfolio Management: Guide a diverse portfolio of software delivery projects, ensuring alignment with our strategic organizational goals.Project Planning: Lead cross-functional teams in crafting detailed project plans, tackling dependencies, scope, timelines, budgets, and resources.Resource Allocation: Collaborate with engineering directors to strategically assign resources, ensuring optimal project outcomes.Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and dependencies, creating effective strategies to mitigate them.Stakeholder Communication: Act as the primary communication hub for all project stakeholders, keeping them informed about progress, potential risks, and resolutions.Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to refine delivery processes, enhancing efficiency and team performance.Practice Development: Support our engineering teams in mastering and applying Agile methodologies.
These are the skills and attributes we’re looking for:
- At least 5 years of experience in managing complex software delivery projects.
- Proven ability to lead projects with cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
- Ability to see both Engineering & Product viewpoints to optimise outcomes.
- Comprehensive understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools, with expertise in JIRA and JIRA Product Discovery.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
