What you'll be doing...
Leading a Trust Accounting team of three accountants focused primarily on serving NWA’s largest Pension Trust client with ongoing accounting, accounts payable and tax filing services, plus quarterly reporting and annual financial statement audit coordination. Establishing and maintaining efficient and effective trust accounting processes, meeting established KPIs and promoting a culture that emphasizes teamwork, integrity, quality and continuous improvement.
- Lead a Pension Trust account’s ongoing accounting and reporting requirements
- Assign and manage workloads to meet all trust deadlines
- Produce high quality accounting records and reports in accordance with applicable guidance
- Ensure timely filing of all required tax forms and remittances
- Review and coordinate distribution of quarterly and annual financial statement reports
- Implement and utilize workpaper documentation best practices
- Own the Bank Administration function. Ensure bank portal access and entitlements across the Company.
- Support the ongoing growth of department associates
- Partner with department leadership to ensure intradepartmental tasks are accomplished
Location: This position is expected to be in the Seattle office two days per week.
Who you are...
- Educated. A successful college graduate with a BA degree in accounting and a CPA (required)
- Leadership. Adept at leading teams, projects, and training for a combined period of at least 3 years
- Communication. Strong oral and written communication
- Experience. Audit experience and GAAP knowledge a must
- Tech Savvy. Skilled in Microsoft Office products with an overall aptitude for software (ProSystems fx (PFX)

- Starting salary range of $7,289 – $9,861 per month. Pay is dependent on experience, skills, and qualifications.
