SUMMARY
Flow Asia Corporation is looking for an accountable Senior Technical Engineer to provide technical support to our clients in person and remotely.This role requires a fast learner with can-do attitude to learn UHP technologies, applications and take ownership of performing machine installation, maintenance and troubleshooting. Conduct training to customers. Must be a person customers can trust and rely on by providing timely and accurate solutions for their technical problems. Ultimately build up customer’s satisfaction and help grow company business.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:
- Plan and supervise customers in the execution of field installations of company products.
- Provide technical support and training to customers on the installation, operation, troubleshooting, part identification, and repair of Flow equipment at both the customer’s location and via E-mail, telephone correspondence, fax, etc.
- Assist in maintaining relevant technical documentation.
- Provide assistance to customer service by determining parts required by a customer.
- Establish and maintain a positive relationship with our distributors and customers while serving as a liaison between the customer and Flow.
- Visit customer location regularly to audit performance of products and evaluate customer maintenance practices.
- Consult with engineering and other departments about design problems/trend failures; may recommend changes and improvement in products.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.
TRAVEL
- Travel to customer locations on short notice, often outside normal business hours and for extended periods of time. Overall travel may exceed 70%.
LOCATION
- Based in FAC office in Hsinchu, Taiwan.
Qualifications
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Comprehensive knowledge of company products
- Strong mechanical, hydraulic, plumbing, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic skills required.
- General diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Independent judgment to analyze and solve technical problems.
- Familiar with Windows, Word and Excel, and CAM software.
- Excellent interpersonal relationship skills and ability to professionally manage and resolve stressful situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Positive attitude, initiative and dependability.
- Demonstrated ability for innovative/creative thinking.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to quickly learn the company products and parts.
- Ability to travel to customer locations (may include international travel).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- AA degree in Electronics, Robotics or Mech. Eng. or a minimum of 2 years college/technical school training.
- Minimum of 3~5 years of recent service-related experience with Robotics, Motion Control Systems, CNC machine tools or other relevant capital equipment.
- Experienced in CNC programming.
Language:
- Native Mandarin speaker, fluent in Taiwanese and English
