What are we looking to add to our team?
We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer with a strong background in testing SaaS web applications. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in QA, with a solid understanding of both manual and automated testing methodologies. This role requires a detail-oriented professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality software products and has experience with automation tools and frameworks.
What you will be doing:
- Test Planning and Design:
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts for SaaS web applications.
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing strategies.
- Manual Testing:
- Conduct thorough manual testing of web applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues using bug tracking tools.
- Perform regression testing to verify resolved issues and ensure the stability of the application.
- Automation Testing:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, TestNG, JUnit, or similar frameworks.
- Maintain and enhance existing automation frameworks to improve test coverage and efficiency.
- Integrate automated tests into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous testing and delivery.
- Performance and Load Testing:
- Conduct performance and load testing to evaluate the scalability and reliability of the SaaS applications.
- Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and work with the development team to optimize performance.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Prepare detailed test reports, including test coverage, test results, and quality metrics.
- Document and maintain QA processes, best practices, and guidelines.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and effective delivery of high-quality software releases.
- Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management to provide updates on testing progress and issues.
You will be a great match if you have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, specifically testing SaaS web applications.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Testing 3rd party integrations where large amount of data is transferred across systems.
- Proficiency in automation testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, or similar.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and processes (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
- Solid understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and APIs.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Knowledge of scripting languages for automation tasks.- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
