Newsela is seeking to hire a Contractor based out of Latin America for Senior-Level Software Engineering Services.
Scope of Services
:
- As a Contractor, you will help the team deliver high-quality work on time.
- You will be a key contributor within a software development team and will craft great software and automated tests to assure the design and quality of your code.
- You will also own the delivery of features, independently, and will provide thoughtful input that helps with scoping and design for your team.
- Reporting to the Co-Founder of Formative, you will partner closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Product Design to refine ambiguous work items into clearly defined, valuable work items.
- You will leverage your intermediate experience in Javascript, Typescript, React, Node, GraphQL, Apollo Client, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.
- Additionally, you will focus on accessibility software development using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Accessibility Testing, Storybook, and Accessible Atomic Design Systems.
- On top of your technical skills, you are excited to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports continued improvement through code reviews and feedback.
Skills / Experience
:
- You have 3+ years of full stack experience in software development and have demonstrated success working in a software as a service (SaaS) environment.
- You can leverage your intermediate experience in Javascript, Typescript, React, Node, GraphQL, Apollo Client, MongoDB, and Kubernetes.
- Additionally, you have a firm understanding of accessibility including Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Accessibility Testing, Storybook, and Accessible Atomic Design Systems.
- On top of your technical skills, you are excited to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment that supports continued improvement through code reviews and feedback.
