How You’ll Have an Impact at Paula’s Choice:
The VP of IT is an exciting new role. Expansive in covering IT disciplines such as front end ecommerce, backend systems and services, project management, cybersecurity, infrastructure and end user support. The ideal and successful candidate will bring such experience, plus expertise in innovation and data-driven personalization seeing this opportunity as more of a "Vice President of Technology & Disruption" role.
What You’ll Bring to the Table:
Strategic Leadership
- Balancing Execution and Innovation: Implement strategic plans aligned with the company’s financial strategies to guide the evolution and growth of North America and Global business.
- Collaborative Innovation: Partner with the CIO and headquarters team to explore innovations that accelerate our business and define global IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes.
- Initiative Prioritization: Work closely with the CIO and stakeholders to prioritize quarterly initiatives and ensure alignment with business goals.
Operational Oversight
- IT Function Management: Oversee all IT functions, including Office 365, Azure, SSO, SaaS applications, supporting our 24x7 ecommerce enterprise.
- System Maintenance: Develop, monitor, and maintain systems, standards, and infrastructure to support Paula’s Choice offices and staff globally.
- Project Management: Manage project deliverables, vendor management, contract negotiation, and budgets, acting as the subject matter expert on company IT services and applications.
- Security Compliance: Ensure IT systems meet data security requirements (GDPR, CCPA, PII, PCI) in collaboration with the CIO and CISO.
- Team Leadership: Lead the PC AMER IT team of approximately 20+ employees, aligning a diverse remote staff with company goals and objectives.
Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- High-Quality Releases: Drive day-to-day executions by leading internal development and external agencies to ship high-quality releases on time using an Agile, continuous improvement methodology.
- Ecommerce Development: Manage and protect the SFCC master front-end code base, back-end services, and ESB code base for global adoption and local performance.
- Site Performance: Oversee "health of site" KPIs such as latency/load times and outages for desktop, mobile, and tablet platforms.
- Future Trends: Anticipate future consumer trends and leverage market developments to trial and test new ecommerce concepts and technologies.

Experience:
- 10-15+ years in IT, with expertise in:
- Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) and retail (cosmetics preferred)

- 10+ years in leadership roles.
- 10+ years with large-scale ecommerce applications and marketing platforms.
- 10+ years with Agile methodologies.
- 10+ years in designing mobile application UX/UI.
- Salesforce Commerce Cloud & Shopify.
- NetSuite OneWorld or other ERP applications.
- Project Management Methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Adaptive).
- Trends and best practices in ecommerce, software development, disaster recovery, business continuity, security, and IT infrastructure.
- Proven track record of maturing and streamlining IT systems and processes.
Daily Responsibilities (include but not limited to):
- Partner with the CIO to explore and implement innovations.
- Define and maintain global IT infrastructure strategy.
- Prioritize quarterly initiatives with stakeholders.
- Oversee IT functions including Office 365, Azure, and SaaS applications.
- Maintain global systems and infrastructure standards.
- Manage projects, vendors, and budgets.
- Ensure compliance with data security requirements.
- Lead Agile development and high-quality releases.
- Manage SFCC and ESB code bases.
- Monitor and improve site performance.
- Troubleshoot website issues under tight deadlines.
- Address revenue and customer experience blockers.
- Define product specifications for infrastructure support.
- Lead and align the PC AMER IT team with company goals.
- Additional tasks as assigned by your manager.
The Details:
- Location: We are based in Seattle, and although we are looking nationally, local candidates are preferred
- Hours: Typically, business hours but with flexibility to global time zones and extended hours as needed
- Physical requirements: Ability to both sit for long periods of time & handle long periods of screen time
- Travel requirements: Up to 20%, domestic travel
What Can Help You Really Stand Out:
- Background in skincare, personal care, cosmetics, or related industries.
- Experience with migrating to a site to NetSuite OneWorld.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
Approximate Salary Range Based on Experience and Location:
$250,000 - $280,000 USD/annually

We evaluate external and internal equity and the cost of labor/prevailing wage index in the relative marketplace for jobs directly comparable to jobs within our company. Our posted salary range is based on national data and may be refined for a candidate's region/town/cost of living.For new hires, we strive to make competitive offers allowing the new employee room for future growth.
The exact base salary is determined by various factors including experience, skills, education, geographic location, and budget.
