Position Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of Applications to lead and grow our technical support and applications team. This individual will play a critical role in ensuring our customers receive exceptional support and service throughout their adoption cycle – from early evaluation to custom design to product deployment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and proven experience in customer-facing roles within the tech industry.

- Leadership and Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing customer support team.
- Establish and manage team goals, performance metrics, and professional development plans.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Strategic Planning and Execution
- Develop and implement customer support strategies and initiatives aligned with company objectives.
- Drive alignment with customer objectives and schedules with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely completion of all deliverables and successfully achieving long-term goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Sales, Product Management) to ensure seamless customer support and meet internal revenue targets.
- Technical Expertise and Problem Solving
- Gain a deep understanding of Lumotive's LCM and LCM-based lidar technology platforms.
- Provide high-level technical support and guidance to the team and customers.
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues and work closely with engineering teams to resolve them.
- Customer Interaction and Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key customers and manage high-priority support cases.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
- Gather and analyze customer feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Process Improvement and Documentation
- Develop and maintain support documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
- Implement and optimize support tools and systems to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitor and report on support team performance and customer satisfaction metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in a customer support role, with at least 2 years in a leadership or manager position
- Experience with support tools and systems (e.g., CRM, ticketing systems) is a plus.
- Strong technical background with experience in LIDAR technology, semiconductor technology, or closely related fields.
- Proven track record of managing and growing customer applications support team in an engineering or highly technical environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Base salary range is $130,000 to $150,000(CAD) + Performance based Quarterly Bonus + Equity depending on experience.
