Pivot Path Solutions is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Executive to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and capturing new business opportunities within the government contracting space.

This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in business development, excellent relationship-building skills, and the ability to navigate the complexities of the government procurement process. This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to visit the corporate office in Fairfax, VA on a monthly basis or as needed.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities within the government sector, focusing on IT solutions and professional services.
  • Utilize GSA, SAM.gov, and agency-specific portals or forecasts to identify and monitor new opportunities.
  • Develop and execute capture strategies to win new contracts and expand existing business.
  • Source and evaluate potential business opportunities, ensuring alignment with company goals and capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key government stakeholders, industry partners, and subcontractors.
  • Support proposal development efforts, including writing, reviewing, and editing proposals to ensure compliance with solicitation requirements.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform business development strategies.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop and deliver compelling presentations and proposals.
  • Monitor and respond to government RFPs, RFIs, and other solicitation documents.
  • Stay current on industry trends, market conditions, and government policies that impact the business.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking functions.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in business development or capture management within the government contracting industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully capturing government contracts, particularly in the IT solutions and professional services sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the government procurement process and regulations.
  • Proficiency in using GSA, SAM.gov, and agency-specific portals or forecasts to identify new opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other business development tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
