The CTO will work closely with our technical and business leadership playing a critical role in reviewing ongoing technology stack modernization efforts. This leader will partner with the current architecture and engineering team in making strategic technical decisions, guiding the engineering team through the transformation, and ensuring the successful adoption of new technologies and practices.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Leadership:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology transformation strategy to modernize the legacy .NET architecture and bring a brand new Analytics and Reporting experience to our key customers
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align technology initiatives with business goals and objectives.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to guide the company’s technical direction.
  • Technical Guidance:
  • Provide expert guidance on transitioning from a tightly coupled .NET architecture to a more modular, scalable, and modern technology stack. This includes both front-end, business logic, and back-end DB systems.
  • Provide leadership around hosting solutions, cloud based, AWS/Azure, and hosted.
  • Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development, architecture design, and deployment.
  • Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools that align with the company’s modernization goals.
  • Ensure that best practices are followed in application security and DevOps and the application is always SOC I and SOC II Compliant.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Promote a learning environment where team members can grow their legacy and modern technologies skills.
  • Oversee recruitment and retention of top engineering talent.
  • Project Management:
  • Manage and prioritize BAU and transformational projects, ensuring timely delivery,performance, availability, and scalability.
  • Implement agile methodologies to enhance productivity and adaptability within the engineering team.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and operations to ensure cohesive and efficient project execution.
  • Communicate technical concepts and progress to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
  • Foster strong relationships with external partners, vendors, and industry experts.
  • Drive transparency within the broader organization

  • Qualifications:


    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
    • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with significant experience in legacy and modern technology environments.
    • Proven track record of leading technology transformations and modernizing legacy systems.
    • Strong understanding of .NET architecture, microservices, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and modern development practices.
    • Strong understanding of data transformation, ETL, and other data management and usage techniques.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
    • Strong problem-solving abilities and a strategic mindset.

    Preferred Skills:


    • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
    • Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices and data privacy regulations.
    • Knowledge of and experience guiding applications through certification efforts such as FedRamp, SOC, ISO.
    • Experience in a similar industry or domain is a plus.
