About Ventrata


Founded in late 2016, Ventrata is an enterprise ticketing platform designed for high-volume attraction, tour, and activity operators. Our all-in-one platform powers online, in-person, & third-party sales, and provides robust functionality around resource management, hardware integrations, and 24/7 live support. Ventrata's solutions are trusted by some of the biggest names in the industry: Big Bus Tours, Sightseeing Pass, Tootbus, Historic Tours of America, Boston Duck Tours, Pilsner Urquell Experience, Fat Tire Tours, Museum of Illusions, multiple Gray Line and City Sightseeing operators.Despite the challenging environment, Ventrata continues to grow in double digits.

During the global pandemic, many attractions have restructured and upgraded their technology. In 2023 Ventrata sold 21,675,439 tickets which was a 60% increase compared to 2022 and we have expanded to 57 countries, covering 29% of the globe, reflecting our growing global footprint. Ventrata has been profitable since 2018 and holds substantial private backing. There have been two successful rounds of funding prior to coronavirus. No funding has been required to maintain operations through the period. Our team is based in Czechia, UK, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Slovakia, Croatia, Nigeria, Canada and the US.

Responsibilities and Duties


  • Act as the technical sales lead collaborating closely with both sales teams and prospects to understand requirements and provide technical guidance on Ventrata's products and services.
  • Participate in discovery sessions with account executives and prospective clients to understand their key processes and objectives, as well as their business and operational pain points.
  • Conduct complex product demonstrations and workshops to showcase the capabilities and benefits of Ventrata's solution.
  • Develop and present Proof of Concepts to prospective clients, demonstrating the practical application and value of Ventrata's solutions in real-world scenarios.
  • Act as technical liaison between prospects and Ventrata’s internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and understanding of client needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to relay client feedback and contribute to solution development initiatives.
  • Partner with the North American sales engineering counterparts to understand and develop and refine best practices at global scale
  • Build and maintain product demo environments for use by our global sales team
  • Assist in responding to the technical elements of tenders, RFIs, RFPs, and other sales documentation effectively conveying Ventrata's products' value proposition
  • Assist in optimising the tools used by the sales team (HubSpot, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, Aligned, Apollo.io, etc.)
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies to provide informed recommendations and insights to clients.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of competitive and emerging products and strategies, providing valuable insights to the sales team to enhance our competitive positioning.
  • Participate in trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote Ventrata's solutions and establish a strong professional network.
  • Occasional EU and international travel will be required.

Requirements


  • Familiarity with sales processes and ticketing systems, POS, and admission systems used by tour and attraction operators.
  • Experience working with Ventrata’s application or similar systems is not essential but would be desirable.
  • Proven experience in a sales engineering or similar client-facing technical role, preferably within the attractions and leisure industry or enterprise SaaS.
  • Second European spoken and written language proficiency strongly desirable (Spanish, French, Italian)
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation, including executive and C-level.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong desire and aptitude for learning and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Occasionally need to adjust work hours to accommodate client meetings and collaborate with sales team members around the world.
