Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Vice President of Sales is responsible for new customer acquisition, retention, and existing customer internal growth in both the residential and commercial segments. Working closely with members of the executive leadership team, the Vice President of Sales is responsible for designing, building and managing a high performance sales organization with a focus on growing the residential segment of the served market initially, as well as national and regional strategic commercial accounts in Precision Pest’s areas of service over time. Utilizing a CRM and technology-enabled prospecting, pipeline tracking and relationship management processes, the Vice President of Sales will deliver rigorous, systematic reporting utilizing a variety of sales tools to drive and measure sales effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing a winning sales strategy and plan (KPIs, hiring, etc.) for achievement of revenue and growth goals
- Leading and managing a productive multi-location sales team for serving commercial and residential accounts
- Formalizing and managing a disciplined sales process including, tools, KPIs (metrics) and reporting
- Actively driving and managing sales performance including weekly, monthly and other updates to company leadership and Precision Pest Partners’ board of directors
- Work closely with the VP of Marketing as a thought partner to ensure a tight communication loop between the field sales team and marketing
- Understanding key drivers of revenue and margin expansion; evaluate, recommend, and decide on key initiatives based on these drivers
- Cultivating, building, and fostering a deep and constant pipeline of new business targets, contacts, and new customer leads
- Increasing Precision Pest Partners’ penetration of national, regional, and major accounts across the country and all served markets
- Selecting and retain high-performing, experienced talent, ensuring training and development through fundamental sales skills to advanced selling and communication techniques
- Ensuring the sales team is professional, highly ethical, and sells by protecting value and positioning Precision Pest Partners’ uniqueness
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA a plus
- Proven track record in developing and growing businesses through organic growth, including field sales, internal sales and cross-selling
- 3-5 years in sales management role leading sales teams across multiple sales territories and geographic regions
- Experience managing and driving the utilization of sales tools to drive an efficient field and national account activity-based, strategic selling model
- Significant experience working closely with operations and building a cohesive sales-operations approach to new customer acquisition and internal growth through expanded services
- Passionate and skilled in relationship selling and strategic selling
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, hire and inspire strong sales talent
- A strong partner and great collaborator across the leadership team and all functional areas
- Proven ability to define and deliver against progressively growing revenue goals
- Demonstrated experience building and managing an effective multi-tier (national, regional, local), multi-geography sales team
- Experience leveraging digital tools and technology to drive sales results
- Direct experience in the pest control industry a plus
- Experience with B2C marketing and sales a plus
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where speed to market is a strategic advantage
- Passion for technology and digital sales enablement a plus
- Experience with Salesforce, CRM design and adoption through leadership a plus
