This role serves as a critical member of the Protenus sales team, responsible for both inbound and outbound prospecting and lead qualification to support the growth of regional sales territories and generate new sales of the Protenus platform. This role requires strong communication skills and the ability to ask insightful questions to best understand the needs of each prospective customer. This is a results-driven position that requires keen listening skills, thoughtful execution, and the ability to understand the needs of individual organizations in order to successfully nurture prospects. Responsibilities
- Understand and effectively communicate the Protenus value proposition succinctly.
- Conduct initial discovery calls - ask thoughtful questions to determine basic information about prospective customer needs.
- Qualify inbound leads and schedule deeper dive discovery calls and product demos for sellers.
- Execute targeted outbound calling and email campaigns to support marketing and sales activities like webinars and tradeshows.
- Schedule high-value conversations, demos, and in-person meetings for Sellers at industry events and tradeshows.
- Identify key decision-makers within healthcare organizations and proactively nurture relationships through effectively-executed discovery phone calls and emails.
- Organize, log activity, and categorize sales lead information in Salesforce.
Key Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience in business development or sales, ideally in SaaS or Healthcare.
- Self-motivated, energetic, positive and excited to be on the phone.
- Ability to build meaningful rapport through phone and email communication.
- Ideal candidates will have prior experience leveraging Salesforce and HubSpot.
- Demonstrated interest in building a career in software/technology sales
- Excellent listening skills with the ability to ask insightful questions, guide conversations, and nurture relationships.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and a proven track record of building pipeline.
- Intellectual curiosity with a desire to learn and grow both professionally and in the Business Development role.
- Previous experience in a healthcare SaaS or technology company preferred.
