Human Resources Generalist, EMEA
EdgeConneX is seeking a driven and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Amsterdam. As a key member of the HR team, the Human Resources Generalist will play a pivotal role in supporting the organization's strategic objectives by providing comprehensive HR support and guidance to employees and management across EMEA. This position reports to the Manager of Human Resources and is based in Schiphol-Rijk, Netherlands.
Primary Responsibilities
- Corporate Culture and Employee Experience: Collaborate with your team and across all functions to promote a world class employee experience, and a positive corporate culture, aligned with EdgeConneX core values.
- Hiring and Onboarding: Provide talent acquisition and onboarding support to the EMEA region in collaboration with the Global Talent Acquisition Specialist and local hiring teams.
- Employee Relations: Act as a trusted advisor to employees and management on HR-related matters, including performance management, conflict resolution, and employee relations issues. Proactively identify and address employee relations trends or concerns to foster a positive work environment.
- HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality. Administer employee benefits programs and assist employees with inquiries related to benefits and HR policies in the EMEA region.
- HR Policy and Compliance: Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
- Talent Development: Collaborate with and support leadership in talent development efforts, including assisting with the creation of individualized talent development plans with professional development and training components.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resources, HR certification (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, or equivalent) +5 years’ Human Resources experience, OR minimum 7 years’ experience working in Human Resources with direct experience with the responsibilities listed above.
- Strong knowledge of Dutch employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, talent acquisition, and HR best practices.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Ability to commute daily to our office in Amsterdam, with flexibility for occasional remote working days and/or a hybrid schedule
