Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the Operations Transformation Manager is accountable for overseeing the activities that drive profitability and operational efficiency within a high-end consulting firm.
The Operations Transformation Manager is responsible to inform and collaborate on decisions that impact the company’s growth and success and plays a crucial role in shaping and executing the company's financial strategy, ensuring efficient financial management and driving operational excellence aligned with the Company’s vision and strategic goals.The ideal candidate will need a deep understanding of business / project management processes in order to support staffing objectives. In this position, the candidate will need to exhibit strong communication and organization skills, and the ability to work with program, functional and international teams to drive successful consulting engagement outcomes.This role combines highly developed financial expertise with a deep understanding of business operations and will work closely with the Program Directors, Program Managers and executive team members.Financial Oversight:•Deliver robust financial results, plans, budgets and forecasts ensuring alignment with company objectives.•Work closely with Operations Leadership in generating analysis and insight into the relationships between key performance indicators, revenues, cost drivers and understanding the overall financial results.•Provide financial insights to key stakeholders to drive effective decision making and contribute to maximizing the performance of the business unit.•Work cross-functionally and partner with key internal and external stakeholders to develop in-depth understanding of business drivers and support business optimization.•As a business partner provide value-added financial leadership to our India business unit.Cash Flow Management:•Drive cash collection process and driving related KPI’s (e.g.
DSO)Operational Efficiency:•Conduct reviews of revenue, expense cycle and other metrics to proactively identify and address performance issues, and areas for profitability improvement.•Optimize the use of system applications to leverage automation and create efficiency gains, including implementing best practices.Resource Management duties:•Facilitate communication and coordination among various teams to ensure productivity and determine successful work techniques.•Draft job descriptions, create req templates, and map positions to correct job codes/salary mid-points based on job description and experience required.•Maintain staffing information including job requisitions, resumes, interview results, security processing within a staffing portal•Work with Recruitment to manage an active pool of candidates and employees using established resources management tools.•Interpret qualifications listed within candidate resumes to determine their relevancy to the contractual qualifications of the position. •Produce staffing-related reports and statistics•Manage data associated with the Resource Management System (database management system); identify anomalies, and seek corrective actions.•Establish and maintain positive relationships with teammates, managers, and employees enabling enhanced communication around all staffing activities.•Support the requisition and hiring processes to ensure personnel are on-boarded by specified dates.•Strong organizational skills, with the ability to communicate new hires/staffing changes on a daily and weekly basis.
Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.•Minimum of 10 years of varied and progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role working closely with operations.•Strong knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and best practices.•In-depth knowledge of optimizing business financial performance.•Proficiency in fiscal management principles and processes.•Ability to assess resource needs and manage financial resources effectively.•Experience in a public company environment, government contracting sector preferred.•Experience managing a large and geographically diverse team.•Experience with transformational change in a complex organization.•Experience implementing complex processes and systems.•Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.•Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.•Proficiency in financial software and systems, including ERP systems.•Ability to work and communicate effectively in a matrix organizational structure.•Ability to communicate effectively including a capacity for listening and absorbing different points of view.•Able to collect, synthesize and interpret a range of information in order to determine strategies and policies.•Superior written communication skills with experience in preparing financial documents, business cases and detailed analysis.•Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.Apply for this job
