Overview:If you are well-organized, can handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and enjoy contributing to a great team, this position could be yours. In this role, you will work collaboratively with a team of underwriters to help meet department goals. You will also provide underwriting operations support and identify and assist with developing business process improvements.Responsibilities:

  • Underwriter Support:
  • Manage delegated work, such as responding to broker inquiries via email and/or phone
  • Analyze underwriting documentation and collaborate with the Underwriter on next steps
  • Act as the Underwriter back-up
  • General Underwriting Operations:
  • Complete renewal and new business activities, including:
  • Account set-up in required systems: ImageRight, Policy Claims & Administration and Salesforce
  • Review submissions for accuracy and completion; follow-up for missing components
  • Collect, organize, and analyze underwriting documentation
  • Support all aspects of policy issuance and endorsement processing, including:
  • Policy checks, recording results and initiating follow-up with Underwriters for missing information
  • Endorsements:
  • Process, issue, check, and release requested endorsements
  • Assist with set-up for new endorsement forms in GhostDraft Studio
  • Robotic Process Automation (RPA) processes:
  • Understand and effectively utilize existing RPA processes
  • Report issues and provide technical support as needed
  • Participate in special projects and other duties as require
  • Operations Team Support
  • Service Cloud
  • Technical Support: provide customer support for internal and external constituents.
  • Administrative Support: complete administrative tasks for internal constituents.
  • Business Process Reviews:
  • Analyze business processes, identify business process improvements, present recommendations to leadership.
  • Assist with developing training materials for Business Support Services (BSS).
  • Create and contribute to business process documentation and department knowledge management

Requirements:

  • Working toward a Bachelor’s degree
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • 1 year of experience in property casualty insurance desirable
