Responsibilities:
- Maintain a high level of visibility at all times and surveil visitors in the Library and Museum for suspicious activities.
- Patrol the interior and exterior of the facility, as well as monitor a closed-circuit television feed to prevent unauthorized access and limit other incidents.
- Secure and monitor access points during hours of operation, search bags as needed and monitor visitors throughout the facility.
- Guards will register guests into the research room and ensure rules and protocols are followed.
- When required, detain violators and prepare detailed incident reports.
- Attend and provide security during special events and VIP visits involving high profile government officials.
Required Qualifications:
- Be a citizen of the United States
- Be at least 21 years of age
- Have the ability to pass all pre-employment physicals and testing
- Received a minimum high school diploma or GED
- Three years of military, security or law enforcement experience within the last 5 years
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
